Cub Scout Uniforms
Uniforms are an
important part of the Cub Scout experience. They show others that we
are proud to be part of a worldwide organization that has helped
develop boys into good leaders for many years. In the
USA
, we see men and women in uniform in police departments, fire
departments, and the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast
Guard. Like these professionals, our wear of the uniform must be right
at all times. Here are a few tips for parents about what the well
dressed Cub Scout wears.
The shirt and
neckerchief are the most visible aspect of the Cub Scout uniform. The
distinctive blue color makes Cub Scouts stand out as someone special.
The patches on the uniform identify the unit or group the boy belongs
to as well as his personal accomplishments or achievements like rank
awards and arrow points. These awards are sewn
onto the shirt.
Uniforms may be
purchased at either the Scout Office (30
Briercroft Office Park) or Best Pharmacy (2316
34th Street).
