How to Join: We are the Cub Scout pack serving Carl Sandburg Elementary, Juanita Elementary, Discovery Community School, Thoreau Elementary and the greater Finn Hill neighborhood. You can join anytime by attending any of our meetings or events and filling out an application. You can use the information below to learn more about our Pack!
Cub Scouting, The Family, and Our Sponsor: Cub scouting is the BSA youth development program for boys and girls in grades K – 5. Family involvement is an integral part of scouting – we expect family participation, and every family will be asked to volunteer for something. Holy Spirit Lutheran Church sponsors our Pack; please treat their property and facilities with respect.
Handbooks & Uniforms: Scouts need a handbook for their rank level (Tiger, Wolf, Bear, or Webelos). These are available for sale from the pack at pack meetings or from the scout store. PDFs of the guidebooks are also available under the Important Links tab on this website.
There are two types of uniforms in scouting:
Class A: A “Class A” uniform is required from the “waist up”: neckerchief/slide for their rank; blue shirt (or tan for Webelos); Chief Seattle council patch; purple World Crest patch; 567 numeral patches; den number strip. Other items are optional. Wear blue or khaki shorts/pants with uniform. These will be worn at all field trips, fundraising opportunities, some camp meals, and during pack meetings. They may be purchased at the Council Scout Shop or online.
Class B: A “Class B” uniform constitutes any shirt that has a Cub Scout logo. If it has a pack number on the shirt, it must be for Pack 567. A “Class B” Uniform will be worn during den meetings, service projects, and camping activities. A Pack T-Shirt is included with the cost of our dues.
Communication: E-mails will be sent from the Pack e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. All events will be posted to Scoutbook.
